Nicole Baldwin: My work is grounded in helping people explore the root causes of their challenges, identifying patterns, gaining insight into underlying processes, and creating space for meaningful, lasting change.
I am both a Registered Social Worker and Counselling Therapist-Candidate, holding a Bachelor of Social Work and a MA in Counselling Psychology. I have over 14 years of experience supporting individuals, children, youth, and families. My areas of focus include trauma, grief and loss, addiction, parenting, system navigation, and life transitions. I also have an interest in providing support for women who are navigating the emotions and changes related to perimenopause and menopause. I work with children ages 5 years and up, as well as youth, adults, couples and families.
I support individuals in processing trauma and loss in a way that feels safe, manageable, and empowering. I recognize how these experiences impact not only thoughts and emotions, but also the nervous system and how we experience ourselves and the world around us.
My approach is integrative and relational. I draw from evidence based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), while also incorporating somatic awareness and nervous system regulation.
I believe therapy should feel human, collaborative, and tailored to everyone’s individual needs. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and not judged, and where we can work together toward meaningful, sustainable change. I also practice with cultural humility, respect, and a commitment to ongoing learning.
