Rebecca Simms

Rebecca graduated from Memorial University with a Bachelor of Nursing degree. She recently completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

Rebecca works with adolescents (13+), young adults, adults and couples.

Rebecca has worked in the mental health field for the last eight years in numerous roles. She understands the importance of a strong therapeutic rapport built on trust and support, offering a comfortable and safe space for every client. Rebecca understands that therapy is not a “one size fits all” and tailors each care plan unique to the client’s needs.

She believes in breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, encouraging the client to show up as their authentic self. Rebecca is passionate in helping clients navigate a diversity of challenges from interpersonal relationships to traumatic experiences and everything in between.

Her desire to help those struggling with mental health challenges started when she was a Child Youth Care worker. This led her to pursue a career as a mental health nurse where she gained significant knowledge regarding the biopsychosocial elements of mental health. She has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, cultures and ages.
