Tracy Hey

MACP, RCT-C

Tracy Hey brings a blend of academic training and real-world experience to her counselling work.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mount Saint Vincent University, followed by a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.  Her approach is integrative, client-centred, strengths-based, and solutions-focused, with a strong emphasis on creating trust and safety.  Tracy supports individuals in authentically navigating life’s challenges while building resilience, insight, and meaningful change.  She works with adolescents and adults, offering in-person and virtual sessions.

Tracy has more than 20 years of experience as a first responder, working as a call taker and a dispatcher.  This background gives her a deep, firsthand understanding of high-stress environments, trauma exposure, and the complexities of helping roles.  She brings a grounded, compassionate, and practical perspective to therapy—one that honours both vulnerability and strength, meeting clients with genuine understanding and respect.

Tracy is registered with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists as an RCT-C and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
