Lauren Mackintosh

MA, RCT-C

A large part of our lives are intertwined with other peoples. We may be struggling to say no to things we don’t want to do, wondering if our partner is upset with us or we may feel left out if a friend didn’t invite us to their dinner party. All these situations can cause distress or unwelcome thoughts and feelings. Lauren offers a comfortable, safe space to discuss and explore your symptoms and feelings and the possible connection to these external relationships. What we may need from our therapist can change daily, and she wants to offer support in the way that fulfills your needs. At the end of the day, you know yourself best.

Lauren’s interest in this area started when she worked with teenagers. A common theme among this group was that no matter what reason they began counselling, a lot of symptoms were related to navigating challenging interpersonal relationships and issues.

Her interest in mental health and counselling began as a teenager and was something she has always wanted to pursue. Lauren graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a BA in psychology and minor in sociology. She recently completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Therapy at Yorkville University.
